Potted Plant

So, my grandma gave me this potted plant to take care of while she goes down to Florida for the winter. I gave it to her about 3 years ago, when I had almost (key word almost) killed it. Now, I'm not good with plants at all. I once killed a cactus plant. Not from lack of watering, I mean those things are never thirsty. The reason it died was because I was turning the pot so the plant would get sunlight on the other half of it, and I got pricked with the spines in my wrist. Those things hurt, and when I couldn't get them out, I may or may not have thrown the plant, pot-and-all, into a wall, where to this day, there is still a dirt stain. Not because I'm lazy, but because I'd have to remove a layer of paint. Now my Grandma must be practicing witchcraft, because she's kept this one plant alive for the past three years. Thank Jesus this plant doesn't have any thorns, or spines, teeth or knives, and I pray I don't kill it. Wish me luck.
